In getting ready for my cross country trip this fall, I wanted to get in a night or two of camping. Lake George State Forest had a primitive camping site and that fit the bill.
I arrived March 28 and spent the night. The next morning I hiked the Bluffton Nature Trail and then traveled by car to DeLeon Springs State Park and hiked their nature trail after a pontoon boat ride.
It was a good shake-down trip to iron out small problems - like setting up the tent and cooking meals on the jetboiler stove.
