ROSSINI’S THE BARBER OF SEVILLE - February 27, 2010 - Florida Grand Opera

Count loves girl.  Ward wants to marry girl for her money.  Figaro helps the county get the girl.  This was the season of budget cuts and sparse stage design, but I remember this set as well done - probably from a previous version of the opera.  Different singers sang the lead roles at various times, but Bidlack was excellent ass the count and Llelle Berman was excellent as Rosina.  Bruno Praticò was appropriately villainous.  Overall, a good production.
